It’s hard to believe it’s March already, but here we are. And to help you navigate it all, here’s our astrology update for this month, along with other helpful news and information.

March 2020 - Astrological Overview and Highlights

We blow into March with Venus in Aries, squaring Saturn in Capricorn, making it tough to keep confidence and remain in high spirits and motivated. We may be more worried than usual about relationships and finances. Chiron, the Wounded Healer, is also in Aries, and our focus should be on our resilience and strength as we have weathered multiple storms and are better people for the lessons learned. When looking back, you can see life’s journey for the lessons received and the growth we have experienced in all areas of our lives.

By March 4th, Venus enters Taurus and there could be sudden unexpected changes in love and money with Venus conjunct Uranus, something unconventional or finding a new way of doing something mundane.

As we head toward the Super Full Moon at 19 degrees Virgo on March 9th, Mercury will also station direct later that night. We remain in the shadow of the retrograde Mercury until March 30th. Virgo is the energy of service, practicality and eliminating things, people and places that are not for our highest good. Opportunities for new love or new jobs are available, and since Mercury rules Virgo, it is time to pay extra attention to small details and getting organized.

As the saying goes, “Beware the Ides of March” on Sunday, March 15th. “Ides” means the first full moon of a given month and once was the New Year, with celebrations for new beginnings. On this day, in 44 B.C., Julius Caesar was assassinated in the middle of his own Senate—which was a grave betrayal and a turning point in Roman history. With Mercury entering Pisces the following day, just take things more slowly, as we may not be seeing things clearly. Double- and triple-check numbers and writing.

Positive aspects to Venus and Neptune on St. Patrick’s Day make it easy to overindulge and we need to be mindful of alcohol and/or drugs and/or intake of overly rich foods. For the Northern Hemisphere, the Spring Equinox is March 19th, and the Sun enters Aries. This is also International Astrology Day! In the natural zodiac, Aries is the first sign and represents pioneers, blazing a trail and children. Ruled by Mars, we will experience positive movement forward, so rise and shine!

There are many shifts of new energies leading into the New Moon at 4 degrees Aries on March 24th.  Mars is holding hands with Jupiter which brings rewards for hard work and Lady Luck. Saturn enters Aquarius March 21st making it easier to see the big picture of greater humanitarian issues as opposed to our individual goals or focus. Positive aspects to the North Node also reinforces our feelings of Soul connections and detaching from the 3-D matrix.  March 22nd-23rd, Mars holds hands with Pluto – the warrior and the regenerator which gives the passion and energy to achieve what once was believed to be unachievable.

The Sabian Symbol for the 4 degree Aries New Moon is “Two lovers strolling through a secluded walk.” Pure love and unfettered enjoyment equal a time of innocent fun and perhaps Salsa dancing! March energies round out with Mars entering Aquarius giving us a cosmic boost to affect evolutionary change in our life and to take action towards goals and dreams. We will feel and see the effects of our pure intentions this month andtake ownership for our own healing in conjunction with seeing how what we do individually is connected to the whole.
